A Beautiful Little Trip To Glenelg

Last week the wean and I went on a job run up to the breath-taking wee town of Glenelg. Going through the Mam Ratagan pass, you witness one of the most scenic drives you could find in the world. Travelling up through the Ratagan forest and coming towards Loch Duich reminds you of the beautiful countryside that Scotland (particularly the Scottish Highlands) has to offer to us. It certainly blew my wee boy’s mind as he was, in an extremely unusual turn of events, as quiet and calm as a mouse, only turning to me to occasionally offer suggestions as to where we should park the van up to camp tat night or to point out things of interest he spotted in the forest. The family van is such a gift during occasions like these,

as we’re able to put down pillows and sleeping bags in the bang and just fall asleep safe from the elements rather than taking up time setting up tents. I’m also grateful at times like these for the places, not only the van, but the removals gig can take you as we might never have travelled to this part of the Highlands otherwise.
